There are no pictures available for this acoustic guitar
This is a ‘Velazquez shop guitar’ from the early 1960s. According to Alfredo Velazquez, this guitar was from Manuel Velazquez’s factory during that period and has no label. This instrument is very much like a Hauser guitar, which Manuel Velazquez used as a model for his guitars. He was at his height during those time, which this guitar was made.
This guitar is light weight, has firm voices that are clear and precise. The neck is slim and very comfortable and easy to play with. The back and sides are Indian Rosewood with Spruce top. This guitar has not only opened up, the Spruce is very matured and it is singing fully and beautifully. It is capable of a wide range of tonal colors. The sound of this guitar is best described by referring to Hauser guitars from the same period and it also has an elegant Hauseresque rosette. The guitar has clear bell-like trebles and powerful, bold and sturdy basses. The guitar is also very easy to play.
Similar to many old Velazquez guitars, the top had a repaired crack and the top was also refinished. It was all done by the previous owner and it is now as stable as ever and without any known structural issues. There are one or two nail marks on the top.
The guitar will come with the original German Kolb tuners which give it a classic and vintage look, and the tuner continue to work beautifully even after half a century. This guitar will come with the original hard shell case. If you love Manuel Velazquez guitars, this is a dream come true but at a much affordable price. Photo and audio clips will be made available upon request.
