Musical Instrument Description: Acoustic Guitar for sale - "FOR SALE " 1972 Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso Flamenco guitar by Faust
The guitar : Conde Hermanos: ( Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso ) built by Faustino Conde. Not all flamenco guitars are 'equal'. Some are good, many are bad, & a few are Great !
This 1972 Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso is definitely one of "The Great Ones" !
These are few & far between & obviously difficult to come by. I searched for many years & went through a lot of guitars, [ many of them Condes ; both old & new...], before I was finally rewarded with this wonderful "Faustino" Conde built in 1972
This is definitely a "Museum Quality" Instrument !

This particular guitar was bought Brand New from Faustino Conde in the original shop of Domingo Esteso at Gravina 7, Madrid. It migrated south to Granada with its owner where it was played lovingly until late 1979 when he brought it back to Faustino to trade in for one of Faustinos Negras; Faustino at that point redid the French Polish finish, refretted & repaired a loose back brace.
I played only at home & have taken great care of this wonderful instrument which is still in pretty much *Pristine* Condition !
====================================
It's definitely what would be described as the "Old World" sound...
Think of Paco de Lucias late 60's & early 70's recordings.
Or check out the "Camaron; Live in Paris '87" DVD with Tomatito playing his 70's era Conde.
THAT, is exactly the sound you will attain with this guitar.
Short sustain, powerful & deep basses, & trebles that just 'beg' to be played HARDER !!!
This guitar does not 'flatten out' when played aggressively, but rather THRIVES on good strong right hand technique.
This a rare opportunity for someone to own a very rare guitar !
I challenge anyone to find a Conde with the coveted "Media Luna" headstock & Pegs from this Golden Era of flamenco guitars in this same Great Condition... ANYWHERE !!!
( Good luck ; I really don't think you won't be able to...)
