Description: Acoustic Guitar - 2001 W. John Gilbert classical guitar
There are no pictures available for this acoustic guitar
Maker: William John Gilbert (CA, USA)
Wood: cedar top / indian rosewood back and sides
Scale length: 650mm
Tuners: Gilbert machines (abalone dots and mother of pearl knobs)
General condition: good overall, with minor scratches on the top. There is a mark under the bridge caused by a string snap and a stain next to the sound hole, right below the strings, caused by the use of Kling-on protector (noticeable depending on the angle of vision).
Comments: this guitar has been regularly used by myself for almost 10 years. As with all Gilbert guitars, it has a loud voice with excellent projection on stage, offering a wide color range, even considering that it is a cedar top guitar. This is a very responsive instrument, with great separation between voices. Basses are open and rich, and trebles range from a sweet, mellow sound to bright and clear, when pushed to the loudest dynamic level. The action is set up high, but strings are individually adjustable with little effort, because of the saddle pin bridge. The reason I am selling it is for making financial room for another instrument.
