Description: Acoustic Guitar - 1971 Yamaha GC-10 (Brazilian, Handmade, Near Mint) !!! SOLD !!!
There are no pictures available for this acoustic guitar
I have a near mint condition vintage Yamaha GC-10 built in 1971. The sides/back are perfectly bookmatch quartersawn brazilian rosewood (with spider webbing). The top is a very tight grained Ezo spruce (or what the Japanese call Silver Pine Fir...a native Bonsai tree in Japan). The GC-10 is a handmade guitar which came out of Yamaha's custom shop in Hamamatsu, Japan. It was the top model at the time and a forerunner to Yamaha's current GC-70/71 which retails for over $12,000.
There is a similar used GC-10 (1970) for sale in Japan. The store is asking 300,000 yen (about $3000) and the condition of the guitar is not nearly as good as mine.
