Ignacio Rozas 1A (Especial) 1997
Ignacio Rozas was one of the great luthiers working for Jose Ramirez in the 1960's. His instruments are in the Madrid style and workmanship is of the very highest quality. The care with which even the nut is formed and polished says everything about his attention to detail. This is an attractive instrument - the sound is warm with excellent clarity and projection. A maker who, after some forty years' experience, is at the height of his skills!
The back and sides are made from beatiful brazilian Rosewood and the top from the highest quality alpine spruce. The neck is made from ebony which has been polished to a high shine. The guitar has been fitted with hand engraved fustero tuners and the top and body of the guitar have been finished in french polish.
This guitar was made in 1997 so there undoubtably a few scratches, however these are all in the polish and could be removed without too much trouble leaving the guitar as new. There is one scratch about 1cm where the first string ties onto the guitar but this is the only scratch that could not be completely removed through re-polishing athough it would be virtually unoticeable if this was done.
Overall this is a fantastic guitar in brilliant condition and the only reason for selling is that i fancy a change as i have been playing this for quite some time and feel i am ready to move on.
I am also including a hiscox liteflite case in the price
