Description: Acoustic Guitar - Thomas Dauge - French Master Luthier
There are no pictures available for this acoustic guitar
It is made from select Swiss Alpine spruce and Indian rosewood back and sides. Thomas is very particular about his tonewoods and personally handpicks the wood based on its tap tone. The neck reinforcement is made from ebony and features an ambronya burl inlay, tuners are German schaller in hauser style, and the bracing is copied after the great Spanish Luthier Miguel Rodriguez.
The French polish shellac finish is absolutely stunning. The rosette (sound hole decoration) is handmade using little sticks of coloured wood placed together to form a 'log' this log is then cut into sections which is then inlaid into the soundboard.
The neck is comfortable and slim and features an asymmetric heel for easy and fast access to high notes. There is also a 20th fret for modern pieces that demand this note
The sound is much the same as the previous model I sold to a very happy player in Wellignton. It is absolutely superb, rich, loud, piano like trebles which are even right across the register with a nicely balanced bass to complement the trebles. Volume is plentiful with minimal effort required to produce fortissimo.
All in all a true Concert worthy instrument.
Apart from me spending a few hours playing it over the last two weeks it is virtually brand new. To buy a similar guitar directly from Thomas will cost you 3200 Euro which is approximately $6400nzd
*I will accept credit card payment via PAYMATE or PAYPAL but buyer would have to pay fees of around 4%
mp3 of this guitar played by Thomas are available from me on request
