Description for Acoustic Guitar - Classical Guitar - Loriente, Hand Built:
2003 Antonio Loriente PrototypeThis is a fantastic guitar, it is not a production Loriente like the others produced for Guitar Salon International, but was hand built by Edmund Blochinger and his staff as a design prototype. The guitar is very loud, easy to play, and projects very well in a concert hall. The condition is very good, with one minor problem. The binding separated at the lower bout due to the wood being a bit green when it was made. However, it was expertly repaired and has been stable with no issues since 2004, the repair is not visibly noticeable. The sound is very woody and traditional, and you can dig is as much as you like and the guitar will respond well. It is very difficult to overplay on this guitar.
This guitar outperformed several other great spruce guitars I tried at GSI that were nearly twice the price including vintage Kohnos, Hill Signature, etc.
I am selling this to pay for a new Fanton D'Andon, and also because it is a smaller guitar than my others, and I much prefer a larger scale length, and wider neck. I don't like moving back and forth between different sized guitars.
You can hear this guitar in combination with a violin in a medium concert hall (650 seats) using mics placed about 20ft away on the Cafe 1930 track on my website.
