Description for Guitar - Acoustic: Gallato 452 Gypsy Jazz Guitar:

There are no pictures available for this advertisement

2003 Gallato 452, an accurate Selmer copy, in excellent condition. Features include a top grade spruce top, laminated Brazilian rosewood back and sides, walnut neck, brass tailpiece, and enclosed brass tuners. Built by Geronimo Mateos, for Serge Gallato. Included is a Bigtone pickup, and a mint, quality hardshell case.

It has some fret wear, which doesn't affect playability, and three minor dings in the top, but it otherwise near-mint. The neck is fast, with a somewhat squared neck profile. There's a 2 piece neck with no truss rod, like the originals. Nut width is 1 3/4 inches. It has a fret marker at the 10nth fret, on the fretboard; on the player's side of the neck there are position markers only at frets 7 and 12.

I'm the second owner of the guitar. It;s been kept humidified in a non-smoking home.

This is a great guitar with bright trebles, a deep bass end, and a nice woody midrange, played in nicely. This is the model played by T. Schmitt and A. DeBarre on their CD Memoires.

The previous owner played in on cuts 3 and 4 of the CD Alita, by Billet Deux (sound samples are at Djangobooks.com).

$1825 plus shipping.
