Acoustic Guitar - Hippner 8-string, Sitka/Maple

8-String Guitar by Darren Hippner, 2006. Sitka Spruce soundboard, Birds-Eye Maple back and sides (back is 4-piece, alla Torres), solid Mahogany neck, one-piece Ceylonese Ebony fretboard. All woods are very high quality and well aged.

Guitar is first-rate, I am selling for financial reasons. I have 3 other Hippners and can't keep all of them at this time.

Grover tuning gears, 652mm string-length, bone saddle/nut, Hauser type bracing. Top: French polished, Back and Sides: lacquer. 2 Ruck style soundports. I will e-mail all specs on request.

Very clear sound, combination of Sitka/Maple makes for warm, woody tone with sweet trebles and solid basses. This guitar is especially well suited for lute music transcriptions, but Spanish repertoire, etc., sounds good too.

Excellent condition, no cracks. Light nail scratching on soundboard under soundhole and upper frets but nothing through the finish.

$2500, firm. Hippner is known for high quality and very reasonable prices, and this is priced to sell. Comes with Guardian Feather Weight weather-proofed case.
