Bassoon - Fox 201 Bassoon

Now here's something you're really going to like!

I am selling my Fox 201 Bassoon Serial number 13086 which has been completely restored to near perfection by Fox Products on 2/23/12 - except for the wood finish which is in awesome condition. There are some dings in the wood of the instrument which you would expect considering the age but they really are just surface small dimple dings - there is NO wood exposure.

The restoration included a complete repad, all keys were cleaned, oiled, replated when needed, and checked for standard Fox normal layout. Wing joint liner was replaced and Tenons have all cork replaced. Installed Pro U Tube, Neck Strap Ring upgrade, and New Crutch Bracket. Wood was cleaned and oiled. With all this work completed, the instrument is in like new condition. Please pay special attention to rollers and key work on this instrument. I did not add additonal rollers on to this instrument as I believe that is up to the individual player to decide what they want. There is a left hand whisper lock key which I find nice rather nice than the right hand thumb and a high Ab whisper key I had added.

The key spring action is very well balanced; it plays SOOOO nicely all thru the complete register with great response and attack. This instrument is definitely very special. It sings so nicely and with great force that any soloist would love to have in an instrument. It has received high reviews by Fox especially by their instrument repair tech and instrument test tech upon completion of the work performed. I took this instrument to a rehearsal lastnight (3/7/12) and it plays so well!!! I recieved so many compliments that I'm seriously thinking that if this instrument does not sell here that I will list my 601 instead - that's how well this intrument plays!!
