A very strong German bow. Part of my mother's estate. She was a professional cellist for 40 years. She bought this bow in 1964. The bow is in fine condition. The octagonal stick of pernambuco wood mounted in gold and tortoise shell. The stick has a gold headplate and the frog has Parisian eyes in it's sides. The divided tortoise-shell button has two gold rings and a pearl end-dot.The ferrule, backplate and button rings have ornamental engravings.
