An 1869 Heinrich Th.. Heberlein jr.(b 5.11.1843-d.9.11.09) Cello. cert.. . Variegated redish brown varnish. Execllent tone, speaks well, crisp good timbre and projects nicley. Two piece figured Maple back, ribs and neck of similar stock, table is of Spruce, Carbon fiber tail piece, heilcore strings. Restored at Robertsons Violins of Alberquerque NM. (2003) in Good condition. Body length 30 ".,Total Length 40".,String length 27.5. Bout depth 5"., Upper section across 13.75" Lower section across 17.5
Includes Hard Case and several bows, one a Pernambucal bow from the work shop of W.A. Pfretzchner, needs work. valued at 800.00 Cello appraised to 13,000.
In recent years this cello has been in the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and various community orchestras. It is a great Cello and needs, deserves to find a new home to be played, enjoyed and appreiceated and to show its stuff. I will consider a personal delivery within 200 miles for a serious player
