There are no pictures available for this cello
Purchased from respected Los Angeles stringed instrument dealer Robert Cauer over 20 years ago, one owner; recently inspected by Mr. Cauer, in excellent condition, beautiful rich tone. Maker is John Friedrich & Bros., New York, 1912. Appraisal reads: The back is made in two pieces of maple, cut on the quarter with medium wide flames descending from the center joint. The sides are made of maple matching that of the back. The scroll is made of less flamed maple. The top is made in two pieces of spruce with medium wide grain. The varnish is of orange yellow color. Measurements: body length: 76.2 cm., upper width 34.7 cm., C-bout 23.9 cm., lower width 43.7 cm.
This instrument is easily played and the body is slightly on the narrower side. Recent insurance appraisal for Cello only: $15,000. I am selling the whole package for only $13,000, this price includes a $500 Knoll octagonal pernambuco bow, hard molded plastic case, mounted transducer (for playing electric-sounds amazing!) endpin holder, mute, plus other accessories.
Cello is located at my apt. in Santa Monica, contact me to test it out here, or if you're in LA area I can arrange to bring it to your home or studio.
