Description: Cello - A Fine 4/4 French Cello circa 1930
A fine French Cello with lovely cracquelled varnish circa 1930. There is a label with a signature but I cannot make it out and think it is a pseudonym. No damage or repairs, the varnish is of a wine red colour. Two piece back of moderate flame, top of fine grained pine. In the words of a player this cello has a typical French sound, responsive and open, even across the strings. It has not been played seriously for some time and has recently been professionally set up including a new spike. Comes with an old fibreglass case and modest bow.
