Description: Cello - Cello, around 1850, label Vuillaume
Impressive cello, probably by a Saxon maker. Bears the label of Jean Baptiste Vuillaume, 1844, no less, with the Tiernes address on the edge of 19th century Paris. This is not likely to be true, however not totally impossible either. The instrument has many very original 19th century features like an original wooden pin and breathes an atmosphere of days long before your great grand parents were young. Sound great too. Needs some cosmetical repair on upper bout.
