Italian cello for sale, 2nd half of 18th century, probably built by Gaetano Guadagnini, Turin.
Description: length of body 73.5cm/29in, width u.b. 33.5cm/13.2in, width l.b. 42cm/16.5in, mensur 69cm/27.2in.
The back is composed of 2 pieces, back and side are sugar maple, birds-eyed figured grain, the front is spruce. The instrument has a golden shining colour.
The cello is noted for its fine sound, well-balanced and warm. It is in perfect condition, ready for professional use and excellent for chamber music. The cello is owned and used by a professional musician. A written appraisal for retail replacement is available, no certificate but arrangement possible.
