This is a clarinet set consisting of a Selmer Paris in Bb grenadilla wood clarinet and a Selmer Paris in A grenadilla wood clarinet. It is rare to find a pair in such beautiful condition.The Bb clarinet has just been totally overhauled by a professional shop. It has been disassembled and cleaned, all metal parts polished, keys tightened between posts and on rods, replaced and adjusted all pads, leveled tone holes, greased and oiled, regulated and play tested. The serial number is P1345 which is made in the 1950s. As you can see from the photo the first keyed section was banded. The repairman said there is no visible crack and it does not affect the quality of the clarinet at all. This was commonly done.
The Selmer Paris clarinet in A has also just been total overhauled and includes all the work described for the Bb clarinet as well as new silver replating for all the metal parts. It plays beautifully, as is the reputation for this model of clarinet. The serial number is Q4268, and is also from the 1950s.
These clarinets do not include mouthpieces. They come in a duo hard briefstyle-looking case marked Selmer on the outside with a brass insignia, and a french bag type cover case also marked Selmer. Includes "Gina's Flutes" polishing cloth.
