Double Bass (Contrabass) - Busetto Bass

I've had this Chinese bass about three months, to use while repairs on another bass were being completed. I'm selling it to buy a carved Italian bass that's become available.

The bass is very good for what it is: all carved, not too thin a top; decent varnish; I had Gary Stein (Stein on Vine) put in quality Rubner tuners, an adjustable bridge and a carbon fiber end pin. The bass sounds warm and full and is as good as any Chinese or Romanian bass under $5k. I've play it daily - and taken it to orchestra rehearsals where it got good notices.

I've got Corelli 380TXFs on it now for orchestra, but can put on a set of Obligatos at no charge. It comes with a Kaces II bag. The bass is in LA, but I can ship (extra). I'll add photos tomorrow.
