Picture of double bass (contrabass) - Small German flat back

This bass is a 19th Century 5/8 German flat back, with a 39 in. string length. It has unusual power for such a small instrument. As of late, it has been used for jazz, but it would also make a fine solo or orchestra bass. Photos available upon request... more
