Description: Electric Guitar - 1964 Gibson SG Standard
Hey, I know I'm new to the boards, but you can check my ebay feedback under the same username, j5bogdas. Anyway, I've got a couple instruments that I'm looking to sell, and while I'm mainly looking for cash (pesky credit card bills!), I might be open to trades if I get the right offer. I'm mainly looking for any late 60's/early 70's Stratocasters or Telecasters, a pre-CBS Jazzmaster, or a Gibson Barney Kessel. Anyway, here it is.
Pictures can be found at my flickr site, linked below.
The second guitar is a 1964 Gibson SG Standard that is all original, except for a very nice pro refinish in its original color. Nothing much to say about it, except that it's in absolutely great condition, and it doesn't look like the headstock was refinished during the refin. I'm basically taking offers, as I'm not sure what something like this would be worth. Just for reference, one of these with an original finish, but in pretty crappy condition with a crack in the body recently sold on ebay for almost $9,000, so I would think one in near perfect shape with just a refinish could be worth not that much less. The serial number is etched into the reverse side of the rear control cavity cover, and my guitar tech has Gibson's original serial number stamps from the 60's, so if anyone wants the serial re-stamped into the back of the headstock (it's hardly visible, but still there as it is), that can be arranged for the buyer. I'd like to try and get at least $6,000, seeing as how a mint condition one like this that wasn't refinished would probably run close to $20,000!
Sorry that the pictures are out of order on the site...you'll figure it out, though. Definitely shoot me an e-mail with any questions you might have.
