Description: Flute - Monzani Flute Cocuswood & Silver 1813

Monzani Flute Cocuswood & Silver 1815 +2headjoints RARE

Comes in earlier late 18th C inlaid case (slight damage), which has been relined in green velvet. All totally original and of the period. Comes with a fully detailed invoice and insurance valuation.

Its a fine flute and rare to find with the 2 original headjoints. Silver keys in integral wood mounts.

Headjoints marked no 1 and No 2, upper and lower sections marked with Monzani name, top also with "Patent". Main section marked Monzani & Co 24 Dover Street London with serial number below and crown above. Totally genuine and not a reproduction. Will come with invoice and if required valuation for insurance purposes.

Tebaldo Monzani was born in Verona Italy in 1762 & died Margate in Kent 1839. His heyday was between 1808 and 1829.

Measurements -

Box measures 13 x 6.5 x 2". Flute measures approx 26.5" with longer headjoint, & just over 26" within shorter headjoint. Please ask any questions !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
