Description: Flute - RUDALL CARTE FLUTE SILVER
RUDALL CARTE FLUTE SILVER KEYS EARLY 1900's
This Rudall Carte flute is in excellent condition and was recently re padded and had new tenon joints fitted. The German silver keys are all functioning perfectly. It is in rosewood, where as the other two sections look like Coccus or Blackwood. Also, the head has a very fine crack running three quarters of it's length, which has to be examined closely to see. The head does have a full metal sleeve lining. The end screw pitch adjuster is in good working condition but does seem a little loose. The rest of the flute is perfect, and fits together very tightly and is a delightful piece of work. It has a cylindrical bore. According to the old Rudall Carte catalogues, I think this one is known as a concert flute. The distance from the centre of the blow hole to the far end is 22 &5/8"
