For Sale: Deagan No. 40 Four Octave (C-C) Brazilian Rosewood Marimba. Manufactured between 1939 and 1942. I purchased this marimba from the original owner in 2002 in Pittsburgh, PA. Marimba was used at home for practice and was kept in a climate controlled environment. Slight cosmetic damage include small paint chips on resonators and light scratches on bars. The bottom bar (C) has a small crack that results in a slightly audible buzz when played loudly. Great shape for its age; sounds great! Served me well for practice as well as performance. Asking $2800 (plus shipping, if applicable) OBO.
