Due to a music-related injury, I sadly cannot play the oboe as much anymore. I played this instrument throughout college and afterwards, and it has served me extremely well. This would be great for a serious highschool or college student who wants a professional oboe without paying nearly $8,000 for a new Loree.

The instrument has never been cracked and I have made adjustments to it over the years to keep it in top working condition. Unlike a new instrument, there would be no "break-in" period.

Specifics on the instrument:

* Serial #LY86

* The AK bore: This bore is based on the AK series oboes. This instrument has a somewhat more conical bore than other Loree models, making it more narrow near the top and slightly wider at the bell. The resulting sound is focused and dark, with less of an edge to it. This bore is very popular.

*Full Conservatory System:
• All trill keys
• 3rd octave key
• Forked F resonance key
• Left hand F key
• Low B flat resonance key

Instrument includes its original soft and hard carrying case (has shoulder strap and pouch for accessories), original F. Loree collapsing instrument stand, and I will include all of my reed-making supplies. I have a couple basic knives, mandrel, etc. I will also include the "Fhred" I have -- this is something that I used instead of a neckstrap to support the weight of the instrument. It greatly eased the right wrist pain. This attaches to the thumb rest and rests on the chair below to support the weight of the oboe. I paid over $50 for this.
