Description: Oboe - Loree Oboe- No Cracks- Serial Number CA61
I played on this oboe for about ten years, and I got a beautiful tone out of it with no decline in quality over time. There are absolutely no cracks. The keys are a little worn in color and some of the writing (serial #, etc) is faded, but that's how it was when I bought it. I have kept up with its maintenance over the years, but it is about ready for a minor "tune-up" (pad and key adjustment, cleaning the wood). However, I have played it recently, and it still sounds great, as long as the reed is in good condition. It is still in the original case, which is faded in color, but still functions just fine. The serial number is CA61, which means that it was made in the early 1970s, from the "C series". This is a great instrument.
