This is an increble, modern, electronic, professional instrument based on an African folk instrument concept. i have made hundreds of kalimbas over the last 16 years, and this kalimba stands out as the best solid-body electric that i have ever made.
This is a solid-body electric kalimba with 19 keys. It spans 2 octaves plus 4 notes in the key of C major.

It is built on a beautiful piece of lacewood and has a great lacquer finish. The pickup is inside the wood and is not at all prone to acoustic feedback. All the keys are amplified evenly and loudly.

This is just a wonderful looking and sounding eKalimba.

It measures 7.5 x 5 x .75 inches, and it has a Switchcraft 501 quarter inch jack, which allows it to be plugged into effects boxes or directly into an amp.

Sound samples of this great kalimba are available on the Web, email me below to get their locations. Please email with any questions you have; "Electric Kalimba spoken here".

"My ekalimbas are steadily growing in fame as they are world-class examples in a new field of instruments. Musicians like Mickey Hart(of Greatful Dead), Hokwe Zawose, Bruce Harvie, Waylon Harmon, Robert Rose, and Fletcher Barber own and use my eKalimbas.

As the world turns into a Global Village more and more musicians are adding a little bit of Africa to their repetoire. Using any of my instruments can put you quickly and professionally into the forefront of this trend." David Bellinger
