Description for Piano - grand piano wanted:
I am not looking for "a nice piece of furniture". I am looking for a piano, not smaller than a 6' or 7', with which I can bring tears to listeners when I play Beethoven or Debussy and whose blood I can make boil when I play something by Albeniz, Lecuona, Rachmaninoff or Liszt. In other words, the lower registers should be sonorous and the upper registers should sound like fine crystal when struck and the action should not be too hard. Having said that, I would not even hear of owning a baby grand or ANY piano made by Yamaha, Kawai or Chang... even if they were free! Needless to say, I would love a Steinway Concert Grand, Bluethner or a Bosendorfer (NOT made by Yamaha nor any of the parts made in Asia) but then again, I have a champagne taste and a beer pocketbook. Unfortunately, I cannot pay tens of thousands of dollars because I sunk all my savings, even my pension (early retirement) money into launching a business with several inventions. No uprights, spinets or squares please, I have an upright and really need a grand.
I studied in three conservatories in my youth, now in middle age I want to go back and study the 1st piano concerto of Tschaikowsky to play with an orchestra before I die...meaning even if it takes me twenty or thirty years but a conservatory teacher said it might take me only 4 or 5. I also enjoy playing Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, J.S. Bach, etc. Studying Grieg and Tschaikowsky concertos.
I am located in Florida. Several people answered this ad and nobody from Netinstruments dot com ever forwarded your messages except this last time. Please try again.
Thank you,
