Description: Saxophone - Alto - Buffet Crampon Prestige (copper)
Alto - Buffet Crampon Prestige Made in 1981 (copper), very reluctant sale!
Thereís a few marks (lacquer worn in places), but overall itís clean, and plays really well.
Pads and corks all fine, recently had a full service.
There is evidence of an old repair near the sling hook and the tonehole adjacent, however this has been repaired professionally, and does not impair the playing at all!
Itís an ĎA Modelí built for the American market, tuned to the normal A =440hz. It has the ĎAí stamped after the serial number which apparently these models had.
American models were available by special order only.
Buffet told me that if there is an "A" after the serial number, the horn is an American model,
If there is an "E" or NO LETTER, the horn is a European model, A=442hz.
Any trial is welcome, the sax is kept in the centre of London.
Photos can be provided, albeit my digital camera isn't very good.
