Description: Saxophone - FS:Martin Handcraft Imperial Tenor Saxophone
Martin Handcraft Imperial Tenor Saxophone #113826 (circa 1935) with matching serial # neck and original Brown Martin Handcraft case.
This great playing sax was rebuilt/overhauled by Palo Tung about 1 year ago using Pisoni Lucien-Deluxe pads and large brown slightly domed nylon resonators.
Original lacquer...whats' left of it my guess around 65%.
The finest playing example of a Martin I have ever owned. Ergonomics, spring tension and key action is the smoothest I have ever experienced with a vintage horn.
This Martin has a modern metal Yamaha thumbhook installed on it along with
having the Low Eb trill key tonehole sealed with a resonator. Should you want to get the Low Eb key back to original all that is needed is to have the resonator removed and get another pad for the keycup...all
the mechanisms involved is fully intact.
This saxophone needs nothing done to it and plays great as is. Pads are in very good condition. Body and neck are in great shape, tight fitting and no dents either. Tonehole soldering joints are in excellent shape which is an important concern when considering a Martin Saxophone.
This horn plays with great response throughout the entire range from top to bottom. Super sound especially for R&B, Blues and Jazz playing. Nice thick, beefy, warm, smooth tone. A dream of a horn to play if you like vintage saxes you will love this one.
Only reason I am selling is due to job lay-off.
I prefer wire transfer but will also accept cashier's check or Paypal. Buyer pays s/h charges to be determinded based on where horn ships to from Gulfport, MS.
