Description: Saxophone - Killer Conn 10M
If you are a Pro player or even just an advanced student you will certainly be able to appreciate this fabulous early Conn 10M Tenor Saxophone.
This 10M needs absolutely nothing & is currently perfect condition. The horn is of a 1944 vintage, serial # 309,XXX, & does have the rolled tone holes. The body, the neck, & the lacquer are 99.99999% perfect. There are unbelievably NO DENTS AT ALL, perhaps a microscopic scratch here or there, & no evidence of any dent work or soldering ever being done. This sax was relacquered & it was a real nice job. The overall appearance of this horn is simply spectacular for being 61 years old. The sound is unmistakably Killer Vintage Conn fatness. It has recently been overhauled & yes, the correct Conn pads with the metal resonators were used on it. The key action is set up so that this horn absolutely roars! The intonation is right on.
The Tenor will come to you in it's original brown tweed case with leather trim. Both latches work fine although the springs in them are shot. The inside of the case is not musty smelling at all & is in pretty nice condition. The storage area - on the right side- inside of the case - is large enough to fit a clarinet although it is not molded for one.
The acceptable method of payment will be by Cashier's Check or Bank Check. I am always happy to answer any questions you may have & get all the information you request to you as quickly as possible. You will enjoy this great horn for many years to come. E-Mail for pics. Have a great day!
