Description: Saxophone - Conn 6M VIII Alto-All Original Lacquer-Great Players Horn
This is one of those great playing 6M's that everyone hopes to find one day. I have played many Alto's in my time & this one ranks right up there with the best of them including most Mark VI's & SBA's. Being a 6M VIII speaks for itself, but if you are unaware & do a little research, you'll find that the 6M's marked VIII were the best playing ones Conn made. This horn was manufactured in 1945 or so, serial # is 311,XXX & does have the nice rolled tone holes. The horn is fresh back from the tech getting every last little leak out of it. It now plays totally effortlessly. There are no dents, dings, solders, no dent work done & the ALL ORIGINAL LACQUER for you purists out there remains at about 60% but that is really a non-issue. This horn absolutely rocks! The body, keys, pearls, rods, & pads are also all in fine condition. Included with the horn is the original brown case good condition. All things considered, it is a very special pro horn you will be very happy with. Feel free to ask any questions you may have or to request some pics of the horn.
P.S. - You might say to yourslef "Why does this horn cost so much?" When you play it, you'll know why.
