Description: Saxophone - Selmer Super Action 80 Series II Tenor **NEAR MINT CONDITION**
As a happy new owner of a 5-digit Mark VI tenor, I've decided to sell my backup tenor, a '96 Selmer SA80 Series II -- mainly because it's too good to sit around as a backup.
Horn has been lightly used, and is near mint. (I'm the original owner.) Lacquer is original and 100%. No dents, pings, dimples, resolders, or scratches. Looks just about new. I baby my horns and keep them clean. It's absolutely gig ready.
I chose this horn out of six SA80 Series II's at Chuck Levin's Washington Music. The other 5 were just about identical to each other, but this one stood out in terms of sound and feel. Sound is large from bottom to top and dark-ish. Sounds more like a Ref 54 than a Series III. In fact, I have preferred it over every Series III tenor I've tried it against. Just seems fuller and fatter. Intonation is excellent.
Includes a Selmer "Vanguard" case.
Selling for $2,500 plus actual shipping/insurance from Baltimore, MD.
