but was a solo instrument as well.
In fact, the Cornettos was probably one of the earliest
European woodwind instruments and certainly the most popular one from
the beginning of the
15th century.
Typically used for all kinds of renaissance music.
A CORNETTO is an instrument with a cupped
mouthpiece, but has finger-holes like
recorders.
