This is a "Harvey Phillips" model C tuba, approximately 20 years old. This is a 4 valve instument which is designed to have 1st and 3rd valve slides which have a collar at the end, similar to a trombone slide. This is for fine intonation is slow passages. The slides can be lubricated like any other tuning slide, or like a trombone slide if your playing makes use of intonation compensation. It has the original hard case which has been little-used and an Alteri gig bag. Also included are 3 mouthpieces, 2 plastic mouthpiece cases and a buzzing practice piece which fits between the mouthpiece and receiver. This horn has been played by an adult semi-professional musician who has used it in community bands and small ensembles. It has recently been reconditioned and cleaned by one of the best instument repair facilities in the area.
This instrument is located in Carlisle, PA. I will figure out the shipping after purchase.
