Viola for sale - Alvaro Corrochano, Milan, 2004

The October 2014 issue of "Strad" reports that Corrochano recently won the bronze medal at the 5th International Competition of the Associazione Nazionale Liuteria Artistica Italiana (ANLAI) in Pisogne, Italy. According to the owner of a quartet of instruments commissioned from him in 2006, "Corrochano instruments should be climbing in value over coming months and years. Very easy to play and definitely improving with playing." This exquisite viola comes with appraisal and has been kept in exceptional condition by the orginal owner, who was principal violist with Princeton University and Manhattan School of Music orchestras.
