Guarneri Cannon 1743 (Originally known as 1742) New Instrument The back is made from aged two piece New Zealand Southland Red Beech, a
magnificent flamed timber (aesthetically a rival to any maple.)
The
belly is two piece Swiss pine. The oil varnish is a warm rich rust brown
with an incredible depth of transparency creating a deep broad pyramid effect.
Good power and projection, quick response. Strong and resonant tone.
Excellent depth, especially in lower strings. Easy to play.
Ornamented with six cultured pearls (pegs, tail piece and tail pin).
Most suitable for chamber music.
