Musical Instrument Description: Violin for sale - Modern Guarneri Model Violin - Great Value
There are no pictures available for this violin
This is a Modern American Guarneri Model violin made in 1998 by New York Maker Edward Maday. This particular one was made in 1998, and as far as I know was actually being considered by Daniel Phillips of the Orion Quartet before I purchased it as my first full-sized. It is in pristine condition. I've really played it in and so far it has gotten me into two conservatories (Peabody for my BM and Manhattan School for my MM in Orchestral Performance). I'm only getting rid of it because for my hand, it's not what feels the most comfortable to me. The violin comes with a certificate from the maker as well as a recent insurance appraisal (literally, done last week) also from the the maker. The tone is rich and powerful, very much a del Gesu type of sound, but it can also be sweet and sensitive as well. Very comfortable for most people, but like I said, for my hand, I need something a little different right now. Feel free to email me with questions, I will answer promptly. The website I am listing is for the maker. The dark violin pictured on the website is either my violin or one of it's "siblings" (Mr. Maday usually makes up to 3 or 4 violins concurrently).
