Bassoon for sale - Fox Renard 220 Artist Model Bassoon

For sale is a Fox Renard 220 bassoon, serial number 36166, manufactured and purchased in 2003. The bassoon has been broken in very well, and is in excellent condition, beyond the incidental nicks and scratches one would expect to see in a gently used instrument of this vintage. The only significant defect (albeit an entirely cosmetic one) occurs on the edges of the concave face of the wing joint, which has lost some of the finish. This is an as-is sale and the new owner will want to do some minor repairs (a few pads and corks should be replaced, a small leak needs to be patched up, and perhaps two or three of the metal parts that have scratches could stand to be replaced if the new owner wishes to). The instrument comes with two Fox bocals, a *CVX* 2 and a *CVX* 3, as well as all standard accessories (seat strap, neck strap, and boot strap, as well as wooden reed case, which was purchased separately). Comes in original case, which is in immaculate condition, and black canvas protective zipper case cover. I am also throwing in, free of charge, an assortment of gently used reedmaking supplies, including a drying rack, reed cutters, plaque, some wire and thread, and a few pieces of cane. I would prefer to sell the item locally, i.e. within the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut tri-state area, so that the prospective buyer can inspect and try out the instrument and take it with them. This avoids the hassle of shipping as well as the possibility that the buyer might be unsatisfied with the bassoon in any way. For a serious buyer I might make an exception.
