I am selling a 3/4 size Strunal double bass, constructed in the Czech Republic. The bass is model 50/4, laminated construction with all ebony fingerboard and trim. It is varnished in amber patina. I purchased it new (pristine condition) from Vermont Violins in December of 2001. It has been lovingly played and cared for since then and is in excellent condition. It comes with a Realist pickup by David Gage. An excellent choice for a first double bass! I am selling a bow as well, a Glasser carbon-graphite bow, mounted with nickel fittings over an ebony (French) frog. The frog bears a pearl eye inlay and the shaft is of round carve. A very nice Bobelock bass gig bag is included. The pickup, bow, and gig bag were all purchased new as well, and are all in excellent condition. For everything, I am asking $2,100. I suppose I would consider selling any of the aforementioned things piecemeal. I live in Central Vermont and rather then shipping the bass, I would prefer selling to somebody in New England (or upstate New York), and I would be happy to meet a buyer somewhere halfway.
