Used Catherine Campbell (Port Townsend, WA) Northern European Single Row "Boston" harp.

Beautifully grained all maple 'built-up' construction, 32-string, C to f''', narrow string spacing, fully brayed, gut strings, 50-inches tall, 6 pounds, 622 pounds string tension (when A=440 Hz). Middle c' is string 18. It is in fine condition. It comes with a custom fitted case.

The narrow string spacing lends itself to ornamentation. This instrument is superb for playing continuo as well as solo repertoire.
Although Bessaraboff catalogued the original harp as 18th century Flemish, its form is not inconsistent with an origin in 17th century (1650-1700) Germany. It is part of the Lesley Lindsay Mason collection in the Boston Fine Arts Museum.

See pictures at my web site under used instruments.

New price is $3700 from Catherine Campbell.

Asking $2750
