InlayUSA�s MicroVeneer is a luthier and inlay artist dream! It is the same material that is now being used my most of the major guitar companies -- Martin, Fender and Gibson just to name a few! It is so thin (0.15mm) that you can bevel the edge on the piece and inlay it without a cavity!!! It is made from all natural shell and is not a composite or reconstructed shell product like AbaLam. It has no coating of any type either on the top or bottom side and it can easily be color tinted. Once inlayed it is impossible to tell our MicroVeneer from a full thickness blank and it actually has better acoustic properties then standard .05" inlay blanks (less acoustic damping). It is made from all natural shell and is about the same thickness as two sheets of paper. It can be cut with sharp scissors or a razor knife and is perfect for creating custom headstocks or a "Tree of life" fret board designs. You can easily cut custom logo or do nearly impossible "lettering" for "Brand" names. It laser cuts like butter, cutting under 5 watts and cost almost nothing to have your design laser cut. Because of it's flexibly it is a dream for doing Purfling and Binding without having to "break and miter" the pieces. You can even make custom rosettes without having to create an inlay cavity. Inlay pieces can be cut in a fraction of the time (and money) that it takes with standard inlay blanks and without ANY compromise in the quality of the finish product!!!
