Description: Ethnic Instrument - Hardanger fele by Dyre Vaa 1984
Hardanger fele
Made by Dyre Vaa 1984
In very good condition, without cracks or repairs. It has been in the same owner's instrument collection since it was made. It hasn't been played on, probably ever.
The fiddle maker Dyre Vaa was a cousin to the famous Norwegian sculptor with
the same name. He was a multitalented artist and was called Svarte Dyre
(Black Dyre) because among other things, he was a blacksmith, while the
sculptor was called Kvite Dyre (White Dyre) because he worked with plaster.
