Saxophone Description: Saxophone for sale - FRENCH HORNS

There are no pictures available for this saxophone

A pair of French horns, sold as seen, for spares or repair. The instruments are made (and stamped) by Paxman, London and Alexander Mainz. No mouthpieces included. The instruments are solid brass and both have some age to them. Both instruments have small dents here and there. The Paxman instrument is the worser for wear, of the two. It is missing a connecting U, or curled tube and there is a small hole near the join of the horn, where the metal has thinned, aswell as a fracture hole (3 to 4cm in length), on one of the small tubes. All the valves appear present. The second instrument bu Mainz, is complete, as far as I can see. It has a dent in the top, approx 12" back from the horn. The Mainz instrument has nice medallion, or coin style decorations, on it. Again the valves appear complete. Both horns are 12" in diameter (across). Both instruments will need cleaning/oiling and repair to differing degrees. These old French horn instruments have some potential and should appeal as projects for repair.
