Description: Trumpet - GOLDPLATE OVERHAUL FOR YOUR TRUMPET - COMPLETE RESTORATION INCLUDING DENT WORK

This is a SERVICE to gold plate YOUR personal trumpet with 24 karat gold. The overhaul includes the following: I chemically clean the instrument - inside and out. This removes all the old build-up inside. I remove all the dents. I gently buff the entire
instrument for the highest "luster" while maintaining the acoustical and structural quality of the metal. I use 24 karat gold to give it a beautiful, breath-taking finish. I lap in and align the valves to the valve ports for best tonal response. Most of the guys that charge the higher prices are simply farming
their plating out to other companies, and then tacking on a few hundred dollars mark up for their profit. Pretty good income for just shipping a horn around, huh? I own my own shop, and thus have no overhead in rent, etc. for a store front, and most importantly, I do my own gold plating. Yes, my price is low. With my current gold supply purchased at a lower price, I
cannot guarantee that the $990 price will be good indefinately, as I purchase future plating material and solutions. I use what many consider heavy gold plate. Many of my customers tell me that my plating holds up better than the plating that they received commercially from manufacturers when they originally purchased their instruments. Gold, as you
probably know is one of the softer metals, and must be treated as such. Gold will not tarnish. Never use a polishing solution, liquid, etc. on gold plate. Do not even use a metal or silver polishing cloth, as they contain abrasives that will scratch and
rub off the gold. Use only a soft, cotton cloth to wipe fingerprints, oil, etc. from the instrument. Some of my customers have requested that their instrument be lacquered after the plating to protect it. It adds a little depth of beauty to the finish.
If your instrument is already silverplated with 95% of the silverplating in place, and few dents, the price is $495 to goldplate your trumpet.
Regarding a new silverplate trumpet with no dents, dings, etc., the price would be $395 at my present gold prices. There is still considerable prep work that has to be done, even on a new silver instrument, prior to the gold plating.
