Selling my beloved Marzan BBb "Slant Rotor" tuba designed by Fred Marzan and made by Boehm & Meinl in 1971. It is in excellent condition, very clean, good compression, no major dents, and comes with an original Marzan wood case. Unlacquered yellow brass with nickel plated slide tubes. It is a 5/4 size with 19" bell, .748 bore, 38" overall. Very efficient horn, nice pedal tones, plays very well in tune. Besides the unique slant rotor valve arrangement, which is ergonomically designed and very comfortable for the right hand, the main tuning slide is positioned on the top side of the wrap, which enables tuning adjustment with the left hand while playing.
