Musical Instrument Description: Viola Bow for sale - Fully Restored Vintage (c. 1930) Silver-Mounted Pernambuco Violin Bow
FOR SALE, A very nice, vintage (c. 1930), silver-mounted pernambuco violin bow made in Germany for the shop of August Gemunder & Sons (founded 1890). The bow was just professionally restored by Master Bow Maker, Mr. Joshua Henry - FineViolinBows.com. In his email to me when he finished the restoration he stated “Everything came out very well in the restoration—the new tip ivory, the replacement ebony, the finish, and a final weight 0f 60.7 grams. I was playing the bow this morning, and like the feel and quick responsiveness of the bow.”
He also replaced the silver lapping and added a lizard grip, reset the camber and rehaired the bow.
Asking $1,800.00 for this very fine, hand crafted bow.
